Kevin Christopherson
President
Kevin Christopherson is the President of the Trail Alliance of Southern Utah (TASU) and also serves on the Utah Office of Outdoor RecreationTrails Forum Advisory Committee. He has been active for many years promoting mountain biking as a trail designer, on the original Moab Bike Patrol, a NICA ride leader, and numerous bike advocacy working groups. Kevin received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Utah and his M.S. from Utah State University. He worked for over 30 years in Utah and Washington State in fish and wildlife management, research, habitat restoration, conservation, and endangered species recovery.
Started in the accounting profession and riding mountain bikes at the end of the 1980s. Volunteered on the first bike patrol in Chino Hills State Park in Southern California, maintaining trails, giving directions and offering help to riders. She relocated to Southern Utah in 1993, and has been running her accounting business and recreating in the area since that time. Most of our trails did not exist in those early years here, so she has watched and participated in the evolution of mountain biking in Southern Utah. An avid mountain biker, her goal is to help maintain and expand our great trails, while enjoying them as often as possible.
Jason L Cowley
Stewardship and Maintenance Director
Jason recently left a 20-year career in software product management and moved to St. George in order to return to school and pursue a career in Open Space and Recreational Management. He is an active volunteer with the USFS and UHSCL and brings with him a strong background in project management, trail design, and volunteer coordination. Some highlights of his recent experience include:
• Head coach of the Pleasant Grove Biking Vikings (2013 – 2019).
• Designed, built, and maintained the Valley Vista trail system in Pleasant Grove, UT (2014 – 2020) .
• Owner and operator of Dirt Lizard Trail (2017 – present).
• Acting board member and trail expert for the Utah Valley Trail Alliance from (2016 – 2020).
• Trails Advocate and Coordinator for the Utah High School Cycling League (2019 – 2020).
• Assisted with design and consultation on multiple trail systems throughout the state in partnership with the NPS, USFS, BLM, and municipal land management organizations.
Kameron Magnuson
Social Media and Marketing Coordinator
Kameron is originally from Northern Utah but has lived in Southern Utah since 2006. He starting mountain biking in the mid-90s but didn’t become passionate about it until moving to St. George. Since then it has become his go-to activity and he tries to ride and be involved in all things mountain biking as often as possible. He particularly enjoys the health benefits, community, and challenge that mountain biking provides. He strongly believes in giving back by helping maintain and build our world-class trails.
Kameron graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in physical therapy and lives in Washington with his wife, 3 kids, 2 cats and a tortoise. When he’s not on his bike you will find him hiking, canyoneering, or looking for good food.
